It is with great pleasure your Board is able to introduce the Renfrew Curling Rink, an unlimited, non-profit organization held by the members. The Shareholders of the former Renfrew Curling Rink Limited were unanimous in their support to restructure the club in order to leverage opportunities available and improve the club’s future. All members in good standing now have a say in our curling club. Take this opportunity and participate in your club! |

Renfrew Ladies Invitational Saturday November 8 The 3rd Annual Renfrew Ladies Invitational was held on Saturday November 8, and everyone had a great time! The day consisted of 2—8 end games, pig races, crosstics, martini bar, silent auction and some plain old fashion fun. Renfrew hosted 8 team, 5 from other clubs and 3 from the RCC. The winning team was skipped by Yvonne Sklepowicz and Runner-up was a team with players from Arnprior and Renfrew entered by Theresa Mann. The event raised $620 for the Schmirler Foundation. Success of the event is attributable to overwhelming support from over 20 club members who volunteered tom, goods and services. Kudos go out to all the people who made this bonspiel a success. (In no particular order; Jim Raynor, Vi Bujold, Helen Hayward, Dwight Hayward, Theresa & Karl Mann, Nancy Connors, Jean Klages, E. Anne MacNeil, Leith Collins, Faye & Rob Warren, Lee Sharpe, Brian Hewitt, Shelley Jamieson, Stephanie Langlois, Carolynne McCrea, Andy Sklepowicz, Charlie Ricard, Karen Handford, Jane Hunter, Anne Windle, Gus Woito, Greg Savicky. The bonspiel also benefited from the following sponsors, Colio Wines, Dragonfly Golf Links, Jo-anne Dowdall-Brown, and the Ontario Provincial Police. |

A GREAT BIG THANKS goes out to a number of volunteers and supporters who have helped get the club up and running this year. Randy Pender from the Renfrew Recreation Department loaned us their new Jet Ice paint applicator and came on the Saturday that we painted the white paint surface and showed us how to operate their new machine. Members from our club who volunteered their time and energy to put the ice in and clean the club and ice surface included; Jim Rayner, Greg Savicky, Charlie Ricard, Alec Baillon, Ted Digel, Bob Hay, Bill Vant-Haff, Rob Warren, Faye Warren, Andy Humphries, Dwight Hayward, Gary Sylvester, Gus Woito, Don Kane, Gary O'Neil, and Andy Sklepowicz. Kudos to you, John Fredette and Paul Villard for a great job done again this season and hearty thanks from the membership and Board. |
